Carlsbad is a great beach city
Carlsbad is an All American hometown with an enterprising old village town center surrounded by grand old homes and new upscale homes. The first and lasting impression of Carlsbad is the clean, well-kept city bathed in fresh ocean air. Carlsbad residents enjoy fine beaches, great city parks, a progressive schools and a city council dedicated to protecting the quality of life. The long stretch of beaches form the western boundary of Carlsbad offering great swimming and surfing. It's an upscale beach community in the North County of San Diego. The quaint village has many restaurants, small shops and even a few wine tasting establishments. When I lived in Carlsbad back in 1980 The village was somewhat different, even though it was a popular beach destination and had many restaurants. One thing I remember is that the Mexican restaurant Fidels had tennis courts where people could watch people playing tennis while eating. I even played in a tennis tournament on those courts... Fidel's is still the but in a different location and the tennis courts are gone. If you want to more about what a great city Carlsbad is and a locals inside scoop don't hesitate to contact me.
